When faced with a chronic disease, I was told to think about things in a positive light. “At least you have a diagnosis now”. And yes, that did make me feel better. At least now I had answers. But as I process through the stages of grief, I decided to think about what makes me happy.
Swimming
Especially swimming outside! Swimming outside in the sunshine is the best.
Pina Coladas
…and a really nice glass of wine!
I love going to new places! I’ve missed traveling. Covid and having young kids have put that on the back burner but I am hoping that changes soon.
Photography
A hobby I really really liked for a long time and then got too busy with kids. I need to start doing it again…
Hawaii
Do I need to say much more than Hawaii?? 😉
Hiking
Love hiking! I am looking forward to my infusions helping with my joint pain so I can resume hiking soon!
Gardening
Recently, I’ve gotten really into gardening. It’s a new hobby that I am enjoying.
What makes you happy?

oooh wow, I did summer aquaerobics at my neighborhood pool and it was a DELIGHT. Most of the participants are friendly retirees and I loved it.
I’ve been having fun picking photos to print and frame. I have a couple really special pictures I’ll get someone to frame for me, and the rest I’ll fit into frames that I already have or find in the stores. It’s been a nice way to sift through photos I’ve taken in the past.

That sounds so nice!! And nice that your neighbor let you use their pool.
Glad you are framing some pictures. It’s a nice hobby. 🙂
