My little tiny firecracker is a year old! I cannot believe it’s been a year already. She grew SO fast!
She adores Logan. She loves everything he does, they talk to each other in their own little language. She follows him around the house and watches everything he does. They wrestle and play and it’s just adorable to watch.
She hates naps. But around 10 months old she started sleeping better at night, so that’s good for us. We still wish she’d nap better. She is a water baby 100%. My little Pisces Mermaid. 🙂 She loves the bath and soon I will take her to the pool to try out “swimming.”
She starts daycare part time in about a month. I think it will be great for her. I recently took her to a library story time and it blew her mind that there were other little kids like her! I think she’ll love playing with other kids.
This time around we did Baby-Led-Weaning and started giving her “real” food instead of doing purees first like we did with Logan. She loves it. I am hoping she will be a more adventurous eater as a result.
The above two photos represent her personality very well! Ha! She is a busy girl. Zoey started crawling, standing, and walking pretty early. So once she could walk she took off! She gets into everything. She explores everything. She is fierce and determined and has a one-track mind. She cannot be deterred. LOL I definitely miss the early days when she was a cuddle bug. She doesn’t want to sit still now.
For her first birthday party we had a mermaid theme!
The rainbow tutu was the same one we used for her newborn photos. It looked so cute. She LOVED her party. Logan was a little overwhelmed at his first birthday party (and hated the cupcake) but Zoey was a little Diva. She put on a show.
She ate all her cake and didn’t make a huge mess, surprisingly. It was a wonderful celebration! I am so grateful for the friends and family that came to celebrate such a sweet girl. <3

Happy first birthday to your little firecracker, Lisa! It’s amazing how quickly time flies and how much they grow in just one year. It’s so cute that she adores her big brother and follows him around everywhere. It sounds like she’s already developing a strong personality and I hope she enjoys daycare and making new friends. The mermaid theme for her birthday party sounds so adorable, and I’m glad she had a great time. Cherish these precious moments with your little ones!
