Did you have a good holiday? Before the big day, my sister-in-law’s company threw a small party with santa. It was so nice! And a great way to see santa without having to go to the busy mall. They had treats and snacks and a chocolate fountain and hot cocoa station. Logan loved it, Zoey not so much.
In 2022 we were busy. You, know, having a baby and all:
Things have been busy with her! Zoey is a very busy baby that never relaxes. She’s always on the move!
In early December I got a night away with my cousin, Anna. We stayed in Newberg (it was so amazing to sleep all night, have time to relax and catch up!) and went wine tasting and shopping and hung out in the hotel hot tub.
For Christmas my parents came to stay for a few days (we also had an ice storm!–AND one of our pipes burst). I made chili for Christmas Eve dinner and some friends came over (and she made her famous cornbread). Christmas day was chaos, of course. Zoey seemed to love all of it.
Michael’s family came over for dinner and made his famous mac n’ cheese and smoked a pastrami. Everything turned out so delicious!
The day before New Year’s Eve I had the day off so I took Logan on the Max (light rail) for an adventure. He’d never been on a train before so it was a fun and cheap thrill! We rode it downtown, got pizza for lunch and then headed back home. He loved it!
New Year’s Eve day I got to spend 3 lovely hours at the spa, courtesy of Michael! I went to Loyly in SE Portland. I’d been right before Covid and it was a nice experience. I had three hours to relax in the sauna or steam room, read and chill out in a lounge chair, then get a massage. I felt like jello afterwards!
I signed up for Adopt One Block in 2022 and I’m glad I did. I used to do a lot of volunteer work in the “old days” and it’s nice to get back into it a bit. It’s something Logan and I do together when we can. I like feeling like I am doing something good for the neighborhood and environment! If you sign up, they send you everything you need.
Bella turned 10 this month! I cannot believe we’ve had her 10 years already. She’s still our baby! But she’s turning gray around the face.
I’ve been working on a bunch of posts but haven’t finished any of them. Soon!
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, Lisa! I haven’t been able to catch up on blog reading for way too long. Your kids are getting so big and Bella is 10?!? Amazing how time flies. Hope 2023 brings you and the family lots of fun and adventure!

Happy new year to you! Time is going by so fast, especially lately!
