Ok…so my teeny baby is now a 4 month old! (Ok almost 5 months old because I’ve been super slack about writing lately.) She is now in the 93% range for height!!! Holy moly. Logan has consistently been 97% his whole life. It’s interesting to see this and how did I get such tall children?! LOL
She is a super happy, smiley baby. But I will admit she hit that 4 month sleep regression hard. For about a week she was back to waking up 2-3 times a night to eat. She’s been a struggle to get to sleep at night. We started sleep training and we are trying to figure out what works best. I’d say our new routine works about 60% of the time. Practice practice.
Zoey is obsessed with Logan. Whenever he’s in the room that’s her focus. She loves him and everything he does.
She is trying to crawl. She started rolling over for real a few weeks ago and she’s been on the move ever since. She doesn’t want to stay on her back. She’s now trying to scoot to get to where she wants to go. It will be a few weeks, maybe a month I think, before she figures out this crawling thing!
The doctor gave us the all clear to start trying food, like purees and baby cereal. I am not quite on board yet. She has really good neck strength but she can’t really sit up by herself yet. I am not in a super rush, either. We did bring out Logan’s old highchair and put it at the dinner table. So she can participate in our dinners, even if she isn’t eating yet!
She has grown out of her baby bassinet and almost too big for her swing. She’s in the pack n’play in our room for a few more weeks and then we will transition to the crib. (She does take naps in the crib downstairs.) The plan is for Logan’s bedroom to move downstairs to his “big boy room.” It’s currently the guest room (and where Zoey’s crib is).
I think he’ll love having the new bedroom, even though I don’t love the idea of him being on a different floor than us. But we still use his baby monitor to keep an eye on him so we’ll continue that for a little bit.
Logan’s current bedroom is upstairs (the upstairs in our house was converted from an attic to living space so the ceilings are kind of lower and slanted). We’ll be making that Zoey’s room in a bit. It feels weird to move her to her own room. We did it will Logan–he was around 5 or 6 months when we moved him to his bedroom to sleep at night. But our old house was smaller and all one floor. I know it will be good, I’m just over thinking it. 🙂
But I will love having our bedroom back! Right now it’s full of Zoey’s furniture and clothes and stuff. It will be nice to have that in one space!
