We have NICE WEATHER!
Of course, it’s mixed in with a few days of crappy rain and even hail! But we had nice, sunny, warm weather this weekend.
Friday I met a friend when she got off work and we walked around on the waterfront near downtown. It was a little cool but still nice out and not raining and I really needed some girlfriend time and to get out of the house!
Saturday we went down to Sellwood and parked and then Michael and Logan biked on the Springwater Trail (First time for Logan!) and Zoey and I walked with the stroller. It was 75 degrees! So nice! The Springwater was busy, as expected. I am glad Logan got to bike on a popular bike trail and learn how to do it (and how to stay on the right side lol).
Earlier in the week I’d seen one of my physical therapists who focuses on women and she was really encouraging. Her big thing was not to rush, take it easy, have low expectations and that our bodies don’t “Bounce Back” immediately after having a baby and that it can take a year for things to go back to normal. She did give me the green light to “TRY” a return to running program. So on this walk I jogged a few times. It felt good. I am taking it extra slow though, especially with my history of injuries.
After the bike/stroller outing we grabbed lunch at nearby food carts.
I got a breakfast bagel and Logan got the PBJ bagel LOL. Then we headed home.
On Sunday I met a friend after breakfast for a walk in downtown Milwaukie.
There is a newish trail that goes along the water and underneath the train tracks and then connects to the Trolley Trail that goes from the Milwaukie waterfront to downtown Portland.
After lunch, I took Logan and Zoey to a different friend’s house so we could walk to the park. Logan got to get some energy out while the three of us just relaxed in the grass. Zoey loved the trees!
Getting outside in the fresh air and sunshine was the best! I was so glad the weather was nice and I cannot wait for summer!
