I cannot believe I have a 6 year old! Or that my newborn is ALREADY one month old!
We had a small birthday party for Logan. He got to invite a few of his friends from school so we had 4 boys running through the house like crazy fiends. 😀 He had a fantastic time though and I was so happy to be able to give him that experience after 2 years of no celebrations.
We had pizza and fruit salad and cookies and chips (requested by Logan). They played video games and played with toys and squealed with laughter the whole time. It was so much fun!
My parents were visiting for the weekend and helped out a TON. During the party they took Zoey upstairs to keep her kind of away from people and to give Logan the sole focus of the party. It was so nice having my parents here. My dad and Zoey were super glued to each other. LOL She loved snuggling and sleeping on him!
Sunday night some friends stopped by for a visit and brought gifts and then another friend brought us dinner. Homemade chicken noodle soup and biscuits (with homemade noodles!) and lactation cookies and wine…it was so nice!
As for Zoey…little girl is 1 month old! Holy cow! How did that happen already?? She is a pretty chill baby. She does NOT like having her diaper changed. She doesn’t like binkies. She is endlessly fascinated by big brother Logan. She loves to cuddle and snuggle.
She’s growing like a weed. She’s outgrown newborn clothes and diapers and some of the 0-3 month sizes are a little snug already. She is very vocal–especially when she’s sleeping. She makes all kinds of funny noises. Squeaks, squeals, sighs, snorts, grunts, chirps…sometimes she makes this noise that sounds like a baby goat. LOL
She’s starting to be awake and alert more, which is cool. She’s taking in everything and looking at stuff and smiling. We are starting to do tummy time. She’s ok with it. I’m just glad she doesn’t hate it!
Logan and Zoey for comparison:
Comparing the two, I can see so much resemblance but it’s funny –I always remember Logan being big and he looks small in this photo! I think it’s because we had so many issues feeding the first month and he lost a lot of weight before we got his tongue tie fixed. So Zoey is a little ahead of the curve!
