Sunday morning we slept in a bit (much better than Saturday!). Breakfast and packed up the car and we made it up to Timberline before it was too crowded.
We did part of the Pacific Crest Trail that starts right behind Timberline. It is QUITE the climb for the first 1/2 mile and then it levels out ok. The trail is sandy, too, which is harder to walk on.
The weather was perfect. Warm and sunny but not too hot yet. There isn’t a ton of shade up there. There was a teeny bit of snow and one of the ski lifts was running and people were still skiing!
There were a lot of pretty wildflowers blooming along the trail. It was a nice and pretty hike up top! It is definitely harder hiking at elevation! I am always surprised by that.
It was time to head home. We made a stop in Sandy to grab lunch and went to a nearby park to eat and let Logan play. Then it was home. It was a nice weekend of activities. It was nice to be able to get out and do something different after a very long time of NOT doing much.
Logan talked about the cabin non-stop all weekend and after we got home. He was so excited to go on vacation and he loved the cabin and the hot tub (he called it a pool) and he wants to know when we are going back. đŸ˜‰
