This weekend felt like summer! It was sunny and 80 degrees. On Sunday we decided to have a picnic lunch. We went to the Summer Lake Park in Tigard. It was a gem that I am glad we discovered! I’d love to go back and explore a little more.
We got a picnic table in the shade and had our lunch.
Then we went to explore. There were two playgrounds in the park and tons of trails and walking paths. There were bridges over the lake.
I don’t know how many miles the trails are in total but we definitely want to go back and check it out. It would be a great place for a run. I am now thinking maybe we drop Logan off at the grandparent’s house and Michael and I go for a run in the park sometime. 🙂 Free date!
There were some non-paved nature trails, too.
On Saturday Logan and I also met a friend at the park near the Happy Valley library. It was a great park too! Lots of cool climbing structures for the kids, some shade, lots of sunshine and a picnic area. I decided that our new goal for the summer is to explore as many parks as we can! Logan LOVES a picnic in the park. 🙂
I am compiling a to-do list:
It was a great weekend spent almost entirely outside. It was a glimpse of summer. And then Monday rolled around and the clouds returned. It’s supposed to rain for a few days this week–which my garden needs–but I was so happy to have summer vibes!
