After the amazing Brioche French Toast, my dad and Michael watched sports on TV while my mom and I went down to the Milwaukie Farmer’s Market. I’d been wanting to go to the Milwaukie Market for a long time now, but just never made myself do it. I’m glad we did! It was great.
The market was very large (I was expecting something pitiful and small).
I saw these Huckleberries and I realized that they were the berries that were on top of my cantaloupe at Hash.
There were lots of booths that sold food and I really want to go back next Sunday for lunch! I wish I could have fresh flowers in the house but Fat Kitty will eat them. 🙁
I didn’t have any veggies in mind to buy but I got a bunch of goodies. The carrots all looked fantastic!
I got one small Spanish Sweet Onion. I have no idea what to do with it!
I got a bunch of blueberries (they are huge too), two heads of corn, and a few peaches that are amazingly sweet. I can’t wait to eat those suckers! I also saw a full grown Japanese Maple tree. Michael and I both love those kinds of trees but they are really expensive! This one was $250!
QUESTION: Do you have a local Farmer’s Market near you? And do you buy a lot of produce from there?
Morgan @ healthy happy place
Farmers markets are the best! The one that’s near me doesn’t have the best selection, but I love to browse anyway!

We have quite a few but I don’t go to them nearly enough. They always have such good things though. I lvoe the freshness of it all.

I do too. I try to get as much of my produce as I can there. The bummer is that they are only open for another month or so.
