I’ve received several requests for summer “beach reads”. I tried to think of some books that I’ve read recently that were “summery” but none of the recent books I’ve read felt appropriate. So I looked through my Goodreads books to see what I’ve read in the past.
This is a list of some of my favorite books that would qualify as a fun, lighthearted or beach read. I’ve already written reviews for some of these. If you want to read more reviews, check out my Goodreads!

Great suggestions, Lisa! I’ve read a handful of the titles and had some of them on my to-read list already. I’ve been trying to convince my book club to read One In a Million Boy, but no luck so far. Guess I’ll have to just read it myself 🙂 BTW – did you see where they’re making an American movie version of Man Called Ove? It’s in pre-production , according to Imdb.com, but it set to star Tom Hanks. Should be interesting!

that’s exciting about the movie – I just adored that book and I watched the movie with subtitles – Tom Hanks will be a perfect Ove

I loved The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry it’s one of my favorites – she just came out with a new book which I grabbed from the library – called Young Jane Young.
I’ll have to grab that Alice Hoffman book I love her – have you read The Museum of Extraordinary Things and The Marriage of Opposites? Both are great.

That sounds like an interesting book. Just added it to my list!
