My weekend was pretty fantastic. From the Date Night on Friday, to spending Saturday essentially doing nothing…It was a nice time. Sunday was pretty good too. I slept in a little bit, laid in bed watching “Father of the Bride” (a classic!) and then I went to the pool. I had my lane all to myself and it was a relaxing morning.
After that, I met Michael at a house his friend is thinking of buying. We walked through the house and analyzed every nook and cranny. It was a cool old house but had more cons than pros and needed a lot of work. But it was a fun time looking and fantasizing! I always loved House Hunting.
Since we were already out and about and it was lunch time, we went to Hopworks for a Liquid Lunch. π
Okay–so that wasn’t all we had for lunch. They had an $8 special for lunch: salad, a slice, a beer. Perfect.
I got the Capicola pizza and a garden salad with vinaigrette dressing. It was the perfect portion for lunch.
The rest of the day was spent doing typical Sunday chores plus I worked on my Running Playlist for my ipod.
Sunday dinners are typically steak. This time, we did a different kind of steak: Ahi Tuna Steak. We’d picked up some from New Seasons.
Michael blackened the Ahi tuna and I made a salad.
I was at a loss as to what kind of wine to have with the tuna. Red or white? It’s not actually STEAK so I figured red wouldn’t go with it….I could be totally wrong. And it came down to the fact that we had half a bottle of white wine in the fridge. π
We also had crabcakes with the tuna steak. They weren’t as good as the ones we had a few weeks ago, but still had good flavor. I think they just weren’t made right because they fell apart really easily.
After dinner we watched an episode of “True Blood” (the season finally got good with last week’s episode!) and “Top Chef.” I won’t spoil it for people that haven’t seen it yet, but let’s just say I am SOOO glad the person that was sent home was picked. Do not like that person!
I slept great last night and when I was walking to work this morning I saw a GNOME. Yes, I said a gnome!
I see a lot of really really weird things working downtown. But this was by far, the coolest “weird” thing I’ve seen.
QUESTION: What was the best part of your weekend?

Wow that dinner looks amazing. Funny, I watched Father of the Bride on TV yesterday too. I love that movie!

Dinner looks delish!
And True Blood was good last night, I can’t wait to see what happens next! And I think there are only 1 or 2 episodes left this season.

Will you help us house hunt if we decide to move to Portland? I always need an objective opinion. I tend to fall in love and become blind to the downsides.

I’d love to help you house hunt! I know all the good neighborhoods. When are you guys thinking of moving?

Not for a while for work reasons, but maybe end of 2011. We’ll be down visiting often to check out ‘hoods. I’ll let you know. Good luck this weekend! You’ll do great!

Thanks for the well wishes! I’d love to show you around town sometime. π
