I have an exciting proposition for my Portland readers! Because of my review of the Warrior Room, I’ve been offered a free group training session for me and about 12 of my readers and friends.

Ashley is the owner and teacher, seen below on the left, and she makes the classes fun and challenging–emphasis on challenging. I am so glad I bought the Groupon and gave the gym a try because I’ve gotten training and tips on how to fix my form. That is so important when working with kettlebells.

Dang it! Wish I lived in Portland. I need to start doing some lifting of weights because all I do is run.

Agreed. When I was running a lot I neglected weight lifting (I hated doing it because I never saw results–because I was HALF-ASSING it). I think weight lifting is SO important for runners to prevent injury (learn from my mistakes) and to improve balance, speed, etc.
