I like the sounds of the sauteed kale with pistachios! My favorite way to prepare kale lately has been a simple avocado massaged kale salad. It’s been a good crowd pleaser, too, when I’ve made it for family dinners and/or having guests over.

What exactly is “massaging kale”? I see it all over the place and don’t get it! LOL

Kale is AWESOME!! I had a massaged kale salad with nutritional yeast and grapes yesterday. And I have some leftover, so will be mixing it with leftover quinoa and making patties. I ‘aww’d’ at the bunnies..big yay that they haven’t had meals of kale themselves. Have a great day Lisa.

Interesting! Never would have thought to use nutritional yeast. Definitely trying that.

Thanks so much for the recipes. You take wonderful pics too! We only got into kale because we feed it to our 18 year old rabbit Stan, so I figured why not give it a try and it’s a nice alternative to spinach for us. 🙂

That’s very nice for your rabbit! Living the good life!

I love a fresh kale salad with apples and bleu cheese.

Any salad is better with bleu cheese!! I love bleu cheese and strawberries together. That’s a great salad.

Thanks for your suggestions this weekend. It was the first time I sauteed kale. I’ve been adding some to my omelets and stirring some in to whatever I’m cooking for dinner!

I was kicking myself for not finishing this post sooner when I saw your tweet! Glad you gave kale a try!

I still juice my kale with other veggies and fruits. 6 sticks of green kale, 2 limes, 6 celery sticks, 1 large cucumber, a piece of ginger root, 2 apples. It fills about a 32 ounce container, sometimes a little more. I had it for breakfast this morning and will again tomorrow. I don’t juice all the time, I just go through juicing phases.

Your juice sounds delicious and healthy. I might have to give that a try here soon. Do you do it in substitute of meals? Or to supplement them?

That is a minor miracle that your little rabbit does not eat your veggies! You have sure been finding a lot of ways to use your kale, and I like the idea of that blackened salmon, I’m excited for the new season of Alaskan salmon. My favorite ways to use kale are a variety of kale salads or brown butter kale (a bit more decadent, but yummy). For the latter you brown some butter for a couple of minutes in the wok and they add the kale and whatever else (salt, pepper, tamari, etc.)

It is definitely a miracle! I am more concerned about the slugs that LOVE my basil, honestly. I planted a new plant a few weeks ago and it’s gone now. Eaten. Jerks!

You know, I have not tried the kale with butter yet. That sounds decadent!

Those recipes look fabulous! I have never tried kale, but I suspect I would like it if I ever do try it. Need to put it on my grocery list.

Let me know what you think of the kale!

I am not a big fan of the kale. I think I actually prefer collard greens, if you can believe that! I’m not even southern LOL!

    1. Lisa Eirene

I like both and chard. I’m not a fan of raw kale. I keep trying to like it in my salads (even had some raw kale in my spinach salad today) but I just don’t…
