I decided to make Tuna Salad for lunches.
The second I opened the can of tuna, the kitties came running into the kitchen. They seem to know the sound/smell immediately. I drained the water from the can of tuna and gave it to them. Even Scared Kitty came running!
Scared Kitty is Maya, and she’s the one on the right. She’s usually under the bed hiding. π Fat Kitty was very good and let Maya have some too!
Okay, back to making lunch. I put two spoonfuls of light mayo in the tuna, mixed it well, then added a few squirts of yellow mustard.
I shredded some carrot and pickle into the tuna and mixed it all together.Β I added raisins, too. It may look weird, but it’s good. Tuna is low in calories and I put it on a Sandwich thin–even lower in calories. Lunch is about 250 calories.
Continuing the theme of different foods, Michael made a cheese and turkey sausage omelet for breakfast and we split it.
I added a spoonful of light sour cream and Trader Joe’s Chipotle salsa. It was delicious!
This Friday we are going to a charity black tie dinner. I got a dress and now I just need to do a manicure/pedicure. It should be fun!
UPDATE: I created a Facebook Fan page for 110 Pounds and Counting! My hope is to build a community where we can all support each other in our healthy living, including regular chats. Check it out! π
QUESTION: Is there something you’re looking forward to?

I have a bachelorette in atlantic city on Saturday night that I am excited about!

Try Greek yogurt instead of Mayo sometime. It adds protein and a little tang. I am excited to sleep in on Saturday! Little pleasures π

I love that your cats coming running in when you make tuna, mine do the exact same thing! They could be anywhere in the house and as soon as that can is cracked open they are under my feet:) I always give them the can to lick as well! I have no plans this weekend which is nice, its suppose to rain:( so I think I will finish making my bridesmaids jewerly for my wedding! Hope you have a great day:)!

They seem to know the difference between me opening a can of tuna or a can of chickpeas. Can of tuna = frenzy!

When is your wedding? Congrats!!

I think I’m going to treat myself to a pedi also – on Sunday maybe. I haven’t had one in months!
My cats come running any time they hear the can opener. And it’s just a little manual crank one – I don’t know how they recognize the sound! And then I’m like, “Guys, it’s pineapple. You don’t want any.” But they hang around begging for several minutes anyway.

I’m in “salad mode” too. That’s the good thing about the Florida heat–I’m eating more salad and healthier in general.
We used to have a dog when I was a kid, and she was always around when someone prepared food, no matter what it was
