Weird Snacking Habits
Do you have weird snacking habits? Or strange cravings that most people wouldn’t eat?
When I got home from work last night, I had about an hour and a half before I knew I’d be eating dinner and I was HUNGRY! I grabbed some tortilla chips, salsa and light sour cream. I also had some shredded cheese.
I wanted just a few bites to tide me over before going to Jake’s. This is where is gets strange…Michael came into the kitchen and proceeded to get the peanut butter out and put it on the tortilla chips!
Have you ever done this? I didn’t even want to try it. It seemed like a weird combo to me (no judgement on Michael for liking it). Then, he added some cheese!
Tortilla chip, crunchy peanut butter, and Colby Jack cheese:
What is a weird combo of food that you enjoy that most people don’t?
My lunch today was leftovers from last night with a side of cucumber. I was hoping that this weekend Michael and I could go for a bike ride. I haven’t been on the bike since Reach the Beach and I miss it. Unfortunately, it’s not in the cards for this weekend. 🙁
Shopping Skinny
In a previous post, I discussed the difficulties of shopping while losing weight. Do you find that you buy clothes that don’t quite fit because you’ll be “losing 5 pounds soon”?
*Wear clothes that fit right. When I was 250 I tended to wear larger clothes that actually made me look bigger. But on the flip-side, clothes that are too tight have the same effect.
*Hip-huggers and low-rise jeans really only look good on teenagers. Definitely not on someone with more than 10% of body fat! I avoid these types of jeans like the plague. Not only are they not flattering on me, my hips are too wide to properly wear them and not look strange.
*I wore a lot of black. Black is slimming. Always. And black clothes hide rolls. 🙂
*White rarely looked flattering on me. It seemed to accentuate every little thing on my body. No thank you!
*No matter what size you are, there are options for being stylish. Places like Lane Bryant or Fashion Bug Plus Size have some stylish looking clothes.
*Sweat pants are never flattering!! No! No!
*Stand up straight. It straightens your torso and hides the rolls!
*Wear the right underwear. While you may feel good in a thong, sometimes as ladies we need a little more support and coverage.
*Accentuate the positives. Have a great rack? Wear a v-neck and show a little cleavage. Great legs? Wear a skirt that shows off those legs you’ve been working so hard for at the gym.
*Light colored/acid-washed jeans are rarely flattering. Darker is better. And no Mom-Jeans!
Do you have any other tips you’ve learned along the way?

LOL that poster is great! I too love peanut butter and cheese together, though I’ve eaten it as a sandwich and not on tortilla chips. The salty of the chip and sweet of the peanut butter would go great together I imagine! I’m so hungry but I must hold out until dinner! 😛

The BF will be very happy to read that someone else likes his snack! 😉

I’ve been known to dip Fritos in peanut butter…so that part is not weird to me. 🙂 Cheese though? I dunno about that!

Vindication is mine!

I totally get the pb on tortilla chips, adding the cheese seemed a little gross, but I am a weird combo person, so who knows. I am with you on the posture. I have horrible posture. That is what I am trying to work on. It makes you look so much fitter and leaner when you stand up straight. I just need to remember that.

I have that problem too. For me, I was sloucher for a long time because my chest was so big and I was self-conscious. Now that I barely have any boobs, I’m still self-conscious!

What great tips re clothes!!! It is so important to wear what you feel good in though!!
I love having apples + PB for a snack which Mr BBB finds strange!!!
Jill
I love apple and PB! Hell, I’d probably put PB on anything…I’m obsessed lol.

Apple and peanut butter is a great combo!

Weird cravings…peanut butter and swiss cheese sandwiches…YUM! haha!
I will admit that I am very guilty of buying clothes that are loose and baggy. I hate fitted clothes and I feel so uncomfortable in them. I really need to get over that!
Jill
Peanut butter and SWISS? Hmm…I’ve only ever had American with the PB (I’m so freaking hungry right now)

Gah, peanut butter and anything, right? My granny eats peanut butter and pickle relish sandwiches. 🙂
Love that you called this ‘skinny shopping’…it’s HARD! I lucked out a bit living in LA where the weather was generally the same the entire time I was losing weight. I’m not a super girly girl, but cotton stretchy sundresses lasted a while! It’s darn expensive though to buy new clothes. Grrr.

My dad used to eat peanut butter and mayo sandwiches. eeeew!

Ew! LOL!
Want to hear another odd one my dad and I love? Peanut butter, pickle ,turkey/or ham and cheese on toast!
