It looks like your squash are succumbing to a disease. They are very susceptible to them, especially when the weather is cool and rainy. Squash like hot weather. Since they grow so fast, I usually plant squash at the beginning of the summer and then again in the middle of the summer so I have new plants for the fall. It gives me another couple of weeks of squash before the frost comes!

Should I just pull the plant out? Is the squash bad now?

If the squash is still growing okay, then I would just let it go as long as possible. When my squash plants start looking like that, usually my squash will start rotting on the vine soon after. That’s when I pull them up. Hope this helps!

Have you ever tried the catnip-laced bubbles? Oh lord. I don’t remember where I got them, but we had a bottle once and our Emmy went NUTS over them.

Oh Lisa what a cute cat! I love cats and all animals actually. We have a 10month old puppy and I would love to get a cat too but My husband is terrrified of them. 🙁

Anyways I didn’t do much this weekend either. I think it’s just the start of the fall season and the loss of sunshine that’s got us all down. Don’t worry once our bodies adjust to the new temps and weather we’ll be back on top in no time!

That’s too bad the hubby doesn’t like cats. They are the best companions. And I agree it’s the changing weather. I am so tired! And I think it’s the darkness and rain here.

The squash plants – when mine looked like this it was mildew/mold. I didn’t like the ugly leave being on there, so I cut them off. Plus, the mold could get on the squash and make the squash mold.

Our cats love flashlights or light refracted from glass and the sun. It’s fun to have them running with that. A feather on a string was another activity that would get the cats panting. Kitty cardio?

Okay I will cut down the moldy leaves. Hopefully the squash will survive.

My kitty DEFINITELY needs cardio! 🙂
