I wish I had been home to see it happen.
Fat Kitty broke my light box. I’m sure it was super comical. I can imagine how it happened: Maya was sitting inside the light box. Fat Kitty decided he wanted to jump from the chair onto the top of the light box. What he didn’t realize was that the top of the box was just tissue paper.
I came home and saw the tissue paper torn, a clear hole from where Fat Kitty crashed through. Little stinker! Until I can find time to fix it, no more light box photos. 🙁
I set up my home workout (bike, weights, medicine ball, etc) and chose “The Heartbreaker” on Nike Training App. It wasn’t one I’d tried before. I did about 15 minutes of it and decided I didn’t like it as much as the other workouts I’ve tried.
I didn’t feel like I was getting my heart rate up enough so I switched to a different program.
The old standby: Cardio Burst. It definitely gets me sweating. I did a total of 35 minutes with the App and burned 310 calories.
I hopped on the bike trainer and did about 40 minutes on the bike. I watched “Heavy” and I think I’ve decided to give up on the show. I REALLY dislike the change in format. If I wanted to watch The Biggest Loser–I would. But I don’t like the premise of fat people spending months locked in a “fat camp” to lose weight. It’s not realistic. What I liked about Heavy was that they taught people how to live with the daily temptations that will ALWAYS be there.
The current week’s episode of Heavy was a college student trying to lose about 200 pounds. His story was pretty touching and he worked hard to get healthy. The other lady was a teacher and had to lose about 130 pounds before her doctor would allow her and her husband to try to get pregnant. She was interesting…she said she wanted a baby more than anything and losing weight was something she had to do to get that…yet she cried and whined about working out and HID food in her room. Several times. When she was confronted by the trainer about the food hiding she got defensive and acted like a child who’d been caught lying. It was really sad that she couldn’t own up to it and learn how to lose weight the right way. I don’t think she’ll be successful once she goes home from the camp.

Not too bad for a workout at home! Especially a workout that I didn’t give my “all” to.
Dinner was about 6 ounces of steak (for me), half a large sweet potato baked and peas.
Dinner was the perfect combination of protein, carbs and fiber for me. It filled me up–which is good because immediately after my workout I crashed into “Cranky Land.” I guess I didn’t do the pre-workout fuel right.
Lots of great comments on yesterday’s posts! I loved reading all of them. Thank you! 🙂
Tomorrow I think will be my weigh-in day for March. I’m not sure how it will pan out. The month of February was kind of awful for a lot of reasons: lots of stress eating, took a week off from exercising when sick…I can’t imagine I’ll like the numbed on the scale tomorrow. 🙁
Michael has lost about 5 pounds since we started Meal Planning. I’m crossing my fingers that Meal Planning has helped me lose weight too. Perhaps it’s the whole foods we’re eating now and less “junky” foods?
QUESTION: Are you still watching “Heavy”? What did you think of this week’s pair?

Aww man that little stinker! I can’t believe Fat Kitty broke your light box! I really want to make one myself, just haven’t gotten around to it!

I picked up Fat Kitty and pointed to the box saying “NO! BAD!” I doubt he understood. Little bugger! 😛

Hehehehe. That’s funny. I could so see my cat doing that too. Cat’s are SO FUNNY! Haha

I knew that the light box wouldn’t last long with Fat Kitty. It actually lasted a lot longer than I thought it would. LOL

I just read on someone’s blog the other day how to make a lightbox! I bet Fat Kitty got a fright when he realised he was falling straight through the box! lol Poor soul! =)
Your dinner looks so delicious! It has put me in the mood for steak for my dinner tomorrow! Luckily I just bought some today 🙂
What a great workout you had! Very inspiring!

Thanks Evelyn!
My poor baby! Even though I scolded him for being naughty, I did feel bad that he probably scared the crap out of himself when he fell through the tissue paper. LOL
