Are you catching up on weekend reading? (I know I am–I have over 500 things in my Google Reader!) Here’s the weekend recap:
Had a delicious dinner Friday night.
Shelby over at Eat Drink Run tagged me in her post. Normally I don’t do it but I loved the questions so here goes:
1. Name one movie youโd never watch again even if someone paid you.
Anything STAR WARS. I know I’ll get a hail storm of hate mail on this topic but I cannot stand the Star Wars series. The original movies, the new ones…yuck. It breaks Michael’s heart because I’ll never watch them. Sorry, babes!
2. Name 5 fictional characters you want to have dinner with. And TELL ME WHY.
- King Arthur. I love everything Arthurian legend. I really believe I was born in the wrong time period! The costumes, the chivalry, the Knights…I love it all.
- Indiana Jones. I love the movies (not the most recent of course) and I loved the adventure of it. Meeting archeologist/adventurist would be cool!
- Ironman. I’m noticing a theme in my list…I like Hero Men apparently. ๐ I love the Ironman movies. And Robert Downey Jr isn’t too bad to look at.
- Dr. House. Funny, ironic, cruel and he makes me laugh. I love how smart and sharp-tongued he is.
- Dexter Morgan. I am so fascinated by the character. I’m a very black and white person when it comes to morals…but for some reason Dexter seems heroic. Maybe because he’s killing the scum of society that our justice systems misses?
3. Give me a race on your โmust doโ list.
The Las Vegas Half Marathon. I love Vegas. I’d hoped to run it this year and then got injured. ๐ I feel like it’s something I must do in my life!
4. Any races youโve done that you will never ever do again? Why?
Hood to Coast. I am actually working on a post about this topic.
5. Cake vs. Pie: Your pick?
PIE. All the way. Pumpkin pie, apple pie, raspberry pie. I love it all!
6. Last meal โ what would it be? AND YOU ARE ON DEATH ROW SO MAKE IT CREATIVE.
This is a good one.
Thickcrusted Pizza–black olives and pepperoni
Raspberry cheesecake
Chocolate Chip Mint ice cream
Strawberries
Fried Chicken
Mashed Potatoes with Gravy
Oy. My stomach hurts just thinking about it!
7. Favorite book to movie adaptation ever? Least favorite?
Easy one:ย Wuthering Heights with Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes.ย Love him.ย Wuthering Heights is my all-time favorite romantic books. Tragic, but lovely.
Least favorite…Lovely Bones. I loved the book. The book was gripping, tragic and heartbreaking but the movie really fell short of the book. It was a big disappointment for me.
8. Vacation: beach or mountains?
That’s a hard one. My first choice would probably be the mountains. I love hiking and nature. One of my favorite road trips was from Portland to Montana. Glacier National Park was a magical place.
But if my choice of beach was somewhere tropical with an umbrella drink…I’d say beach. ๐
And I’m tagging Tiffany, Leah, Kristina and Kate!
QUESTION: How would answer those questions?
marie
I read the Lovely Bones too and I’m afraid to see the movie…think you just confirmed my suspicions.
Lisa Eirene
Sorry. ๐ I don’t want to deter anyone from seeing the movie but it definitely doesn’t live up to the book.
Yum Yucky
I will NEVER watch the Human Centipede again. never ever EVER. How can I scrub that movie outta my brain..? Please don’t watch it. No no no….it’s very disturbing….
Lisa Eirene
Haha! I heard what the movie was about was so horrified I vowed never to see it!
Lisa
oh my – re movies – I cant stand horror movies – or ones re natural disasters ugh
Lisa Eirene
Really? I love natural disaster movies…they are cool (because nature is cool) and scary (because it COULD happen)!

I’d want to have dinner with Dexter too. I find it fascinating as well. I love that you get to hear his inner thoughts—you really get to know him as a character that way.
Plus, he’s gorgeous ๐
Lisa Eirene
Well that’s kind of a given. ๐ I liked him on Six Feet Under too.
I agree. I’d probably like Dexter less if there wasn’t that internal monologue.
