Saturday after the gym with my Dad Michael, my parents and I drove to Poulsbo from Seattle. It was a short drive to the Edmond’s Ferry.
It was a very gray day in Seattle. We just missed the ferry so it was about a 30 minute wait for the next one.
The Washington Peninsula is a gorgeous place–especially in the summer time. The ferry ride was short. The four of us hung out in the galley.
Michael wanted a snack so he got popcorn. đ I decided to wait and save my calories for the party!
Aww. Michael finally smiled instead of making a goofy face! The ferry ride was pretty short and we made our way to Poulsbo to my aunt’s house. Their house is right on Puget Sound with an amazing view.
Too bad it was such a gray day! Since they live right on the water…guess what they have on a daily basis?
You guessed it! FRESH crab! It was amazing. Michael and I split one big crab and it was delicious and so fresh it was still cold.
There was so much food. Lots of treats:
Cupcakes, cookies, cake, pie. So many treats.
I was pretty good though! I didn’t overeat like I usually do!
Those chocolate balls were filled with peanut butter. YUM. So rich though. I ate one.
I ate 2 cupcakes. They were great.
I ate several of the cookies…Maybe 5? 6? Have I tempted you yet? Did I mention the GregNog?
I DEFINITELY drank a bit on Saturday. I burned a lot of calories at the gym and while I munched and snacked on goodies all day at the party…I think I probably drank more calories than I ate. đ
The GregNog is sooo good. The best eggnog you’ll ever taste. And it’s potent. Trust me. Oh nelly. The recipe is a secret that my aunt won’t give up. But I do know it has 4 different liquors in it. 151, Rum, Brandy and Whiskey I think?
There was more alcohol too…lots in fact.
Lots of wine. I stuck to GregNog and wine. I was feeling pretty good. đ
My aunt brought this bottle of Violet Liqueur out. She bought it in Europe. It was dark purple and tasted like violet perfume. It was good! But after a few sips it was way too sweet.
To Be Continued…

My in-laws live in Poulsbo! You’ll have to go to Sluy’s bakery downtown and get a viking donut… and then run up and down the hills lol. Have fun!

I will have to check out that bakery next time we visit!

You deserve it after all those calories burned, I wish I had someone around who wanted to work out, on my schedule.
